Interesting commercials

Head on commercial:
A headache medicine advertisement that will give you a headache...

Dove:
Example of an anti-high beauty standards approach.
But does it really work?

Volkswagen/Ford:
Humour is used.

Existing Electric Car Advertising

The website for the peugeot iOn is: http://www.peugeot.nl/minisite/ion/5-deurs/ (Site in Dutch).

The slogan reads "100% electric 100% realistic". This is aimed at the disbelief the consumers have of the electric car's capabilities. Consumers also assume it is probably not the right time yet, that the technology hasn't reached that point of development. As was said in the lecture: "People don't want to change." 'Realistic' communicates that there are little risks for you to change.

The website is clear and simple. The benifits are presented clear and there is attention for safety with the service system that is provided. When targeting the female community, this is an important feature that might be communicated late in the website (step 6). And even then, it is not communicated as a "what if I suddenly run out of battery" - problem. It explains that the consumer will be able to have a lot of service benefits in maintanace and finance. It communicates safety. Also in the points after that, it is clearly visible that a lot of service is involved to ensure the feeling safety for the consumer.
